Open Water Diver Course – Scuba Diving Certification
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the first internationally recognized level of scuba diving certification, allowing certified divers to dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres. The course includes:
- Knowledge development through E-Learning
- Digital interactive manual: independent study to learn the basic principles of scuba diving
- Confined water: 5 training sessions with the instructor, from the beach or in a swimming pool, to learn and practise essential diving techniques
- Open water: 4 training dives with the instructor, from shore and by boat, to a maximum depth of 18 metres
Course duration: 3–4 days
Requirements: minimum age 10, ability to swim and good general health. A non-competitive sports medical certificate is required.
Minimum number of participants: 1
What to bring: water, personal scuba diving equipment if available; otherwise, equipment will be provided by the instructor
Booking: required
Conditions: the course is subject to weather and sea conditions.
Participants aged 10 to 14 will take the Junior Open Water Diver course, which allows them to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres when accompanied by an instructor or dive professional. The course lasts 2–3 days.
